Our AML and Verification Commitment

We operate Silversands Casino under Anjouan licence ALSI-102404011-FI3, and we hold every account to the same verification standard. This page sets out, in plain terms, what we check, when we check it, and what we need from you.

Our AML Policy Explained

Money laundering and terrorist financing are risks we treat with zero tolerance. Our platform complies with the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing requirements of our licence jurisdiction, Anjouan, and we apply them to every player regardless of stake size or account age.

We run a risk-based programme. That means we assess each account for risk indicators, act on suspicious activity, and report to the relevant authorities where our obligations require it. Nothing on our platform may be used to hide the origin of funds, and we say so plainly in our terms and conditions.

When We Verify Your Account

Verification happens at defined points, not randomly. We check your details at registration, we verify your identity before your first withdrawal, and we run further checks whenever you cross certain thresholds or your activity pattern changes materially.

At registration we confirm your age (18 or over), your country of residence, and that you are not on any self-exclusion or sanctions list. Note that players from the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Israel and Iran cannot hold an account with us.

  • Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver licence or national ID card)
  • Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement or council rate notice)
  • Proof of payment method ownership (card photo with middle digits covered, or wallet account screenshot showing your name)
  • Source of funds evidence, where required (see below)

How Verification Works, Step by Step

Your documents are stored on encrypted servers with access restricted to our compliance team. We never share verification data with third parties except where the law requires it, and we never request documents over live chat.

  • 1. You upload documents through the secure verification area of your account, or email them to [email protected].
  • 2. Our compliance team reviews each document for validity, legibility and matching details (name, date of birth, address).
  • 3. If anything is unclear, we contact you within the review window and specify what we need.
  • 4. Once approved, your account is marked verified and withdrawals are released to your chosen method.
  • 5. Larger or flagged withdrawals may require an additional source-of-funds review before release.

Why We Ask for Source of Funds

If your deposits exceed levels we consider high for your account profile, or if your betting pattern raises questions under our monitoring rules, we may ask you to show where the money came from. This is not an accusation; it is a standard obligation of our Anjouan licence.

Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, bank statements showing regular income, sale contracts, dividend or investment statements, or inheritance documents. We assess what you provide confidentially, and we only request the minimum needed to satisfy the check.

Monitoring Deposits and Withdrawals

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes automated screening. We flag structuring (splitting amounts to stay under thresholds), rapid deposit-withdrawal cycling with minimal play, third-party payments, and activity inconsistent with your profile.

We apply a same-method rule: withdrawals go back to the deposit method you used wherever technically possible. Third-party deposits are rejected and returned. Our limits are transparent: minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal are both 75 AUD, and the maximum withdrawal is 8,000 AUD per day, processed within 24-48 hours with no fees.

What Happens if Verification Fails

If your documents do not pass, we tell you why and give you a chance to submit corrected evidence. Unclear photos, expired ID, mismatched names and edited images are the most common failures.

If you do not provide requested documents within 30 days, we suspend the account: deposits and play stop, and any pending withdrawal is held until verification is complete. If we establish that an account was opened with false details, in breach of our terms, or from a restricted country, we close it. In cases of suspected money laundering, we are obliged to freeze the account and report to the authorities, and we will not notify you in advance where the law prohibits it.

How Long We Keep Your Documents

We retain verification records for at least 5 years after your account closes, as required under Anjouan AML rules. Retention lets us answer regulator requests and investigate historical activity. After the retention period, documents are securely destroyed. If you want your data deleted earlier, contact [email protected], noting that legal retention obligations take precedence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I withdraw before completing verification?

No. We verify your identity, address and payment method before releasing your first withdrawal. Most checks are finished within 24-48 hours of receiving clear documents.

Do you accept deposits from someone else's card or wallet?

No. All deposits must come from a payment method registered in your own name. Third-party payments are rejected and returned to sender.

Why was my withdrawal held for extra review?

Withdrawals above your usual pattern, or accounts that triggered a monitoring flag, may need an enhanced review or source-of-funds evidence. This typically adds up to 5 business days.

Is my ID safe with Silversands Casino?

Yes. Documents sit on encrypted servers, access is limited to our compliance team, and we never request them through live chat or from unrelated email addresses.
